Relax and enjoy this blessing

Image
Maori Blessing Kia hora te marino, kia whakapapa pounamu te moana, kia tere karohirohi i mua i tou huarahi. Meaning May calm be spread around you, may the sea glisten like greenstone and the shimmer of summer dance across your path. By Gypsy & Kalissa. Why did we choose this blessing? we chose this blessing because it relaxes us and it gives us a tingly feeling (in a great way.) How can we use this in our day? as the morning blessing for room 9. What do we think the key message is? Stay calm and enjoy your life when you can. What do you think the key message is? Comment your thoughts...

Ending and starting hook in sentences

This is the name of the book i'm reading at the moment THE GLASS BIRD GIRL Written by Esme kerr  Here are some chapter ending's and starting's that hook me in Edie crouched on her bedroom windowsill, training her field glasses on the three boys by the stone pond. I will run away. But not where you think...  Several hundred miles away from folly farm the golden October sun was slanting into the drawing room of a tall Mayfair town house, dappling an interior of gilt, Marble and Chintz. Surely, Charles, One of those can't be hard to find. Comment as soon as you can...

My story white seagull turns into curry

Image
White seabird turns into curry “ No!! No!! I didn't want to harm this awfully yummy sensation all I wanted to do was to eat something like this chicken tikka masala” Of course the white bird was ominous of what he was going to eat because he was a very very fussy eater. The ominous white fluffy bird shivered and slowly looked down over the road and saw a big fat vat full of what he was looking for. “OH NO AHHHHH!” I suddenly flapped my wings as fast as I could. I was trembling into that big fat vat of that “CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA CURRY!!!!” Soon I was covered in a blanket of that stuff that stunk and was BRIGHT ORANGE!!! Not very pleasant at all for me the orange bird sighed… These wildlife hospital people came to the rescue because I was miserable . Here is an embarrassing picture of me in the awful colour. (Lady cleaning up the seagull with dishwashing liquid) This was horrible trust me I was so greasy, crusty, oily and creamy . The delicious yogurt ch

My zoom in writting

Image
“Gulp!” My throat feels dry. I breathe in and out as my nerves swiggle into me. I’m very close to my family, “Swoosh” goes the boat as we slowly drift across the delicate, Soft waves. I’m in a Chaddy's Charters boat and we can see many kinds of different shapes and sizes of rocks and cliffs.we can see lots of seals swimming and relaxing in the dips and little pools of the clean chilly water. The boat ride took about half an hour long but it was worth the wait because what we got to see was more than amazing it was unstockable. We even got to see a whale flipping its huge tail and jumping around in the freezing water in excitement! By Kalissa

My hiding space writting

My hiding space My heart’s pounding like a cheetah's prey. The leaves are rustling around me as the stones are banging together as the wind blows them around. I was as still as a statue waiting for someone to come and find me. My body was as long as a snake. Kaelyn was calling my name but still I stayed quiet…   “Can you guess where I was hiding” I'm on the side of my house underneath a tree with a trimmed hedge against me and stones banging in the burrow underneath.

Vertical Horizons writing 2016

This is my work so far s o what suggestions would you give me to make it better let me know.  Please comment if you can:]   Vertical horizons camp  Kelly, Pama, Georgina, Olivia, Nikyla, Grace and I stood in order as Mrs Cribb called out our names for our cabins. All of us looked at each other in excitement and joy! Everyone in room 9 were having a meeting for remembering our activity groups. “So parents with the explorers” Nick and David. “And the kids are” Gypsy, Kalissa, Olivia, Georgina, Ubai and Lloyd. Our first activity was the Grass Karts! I simply asked David if me and Alison could go on the first ride. “Sure” David replied. So as nervous as we both were we held our nerves and hopped into a Kart… AHHH!!!!! Alison and I were screaming our heads of in laughter… At the end me and Alison huffed and puffed and dragged the heavy cart up until we finally reached the top of the hill. After the Grass karts our group moved onto the AMAZING!!!! Flying Kiwi. When we all got to the
